A3 format calendar of Grand-Massif alpine fauna and avifauna (Flaine, Les Carroz d'Arâches, Samoëns, Morillon, Sixt Fer à Cheval). In this 2022 edition you will find 5 images of birds (including 3 glacial relicts) and 7 images of mammals with the vernacular and scientific name of each species on the cover. An alternation of 6 portraits and 6 photographs of animals in their natural environment. This calendar and these shared images are the first steps of a photo book on Grand-Massif alpine wildlife. A large-scale work on a territory that is small from an animal aspect, which, as for all "good things" will require (again): time. It is also the occasion for me to reveal one of my first images of the Eurasian three-toed Woodpecker, rarity of the French Alps, the result of several years of research before I had the chance to see its monochrome plumage and to finally remove the doubt that was settling in my mind about the likelihood that the Grand-Massif could still shelter this exceptional species.
